Lowchens can usually be socialized to do well with other pets; however, despite their small size, they have a dominant streak and will exhibit dominant behavior even toward larger pets. Lowchens can live in an apartment if they are walked every day.

Lowchen Trivia: Lowchens are groomed to look like lions and are nicknamed the Little Lion. Lowchens have been popular in Europe since the sixteenth century. At one time, Lowchens were considered the rarest dogs in the world. Lowchens have often been depicted in works of art.
